Community Gardens + Greenway Trails

Our community gardens, trails and green spaces support healthy, sustainable lifestyles for the residents of our luxury apartments and for the community as a whole. They encourage awareness of food systems, foster community participation and become gathering spots for neighbors and friends. We know that open-air space is the pulse of the Park, and key to sustainable urban planning. It’s why we do it. Stop and smell the roses with us.

Community Gardens

We’re cultivating a thriving, life-long network of local gardeners. That’s why our Community Garden plots are free and open to the public on a first come first served basis. Our 13 garden beds allow individuals, groups and families to grow their own fresh vegetables, engage in physical activity and learn new skills that improve their quality of life. Plus, these gardens beautify an otherwise vacant space. Win-win.

Trails

Farmers Park maintains 3 miles of serene walking trails onsite. But if you’re here and looking for something a little more active, just hop on The Link nearby and explore the Galloway Creek Greenway or James River Greenway. In fact, you can bike virtually anywhere in Springfield from our little green hub. Or, explore the 79-acre Springfield Conservation Nature Center, just 8 minutes (via bike) from the Park. Seeing green yet? We are.
